clark thompson:

Ephesians 4:7-8

King James Version (KJV)

7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

Ephesians 4:7-8

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore it says,

“When He ascended on high,
He led captive a host of captives,
And He gave gifts to men.”

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

7 All those of the church have received God’s grace some are given more because they need more or they can be trusted with more. We all are even at the foot of the cross but down here on earth there may those that do what we find as more important. We need to use God’s grace in our own life and allow His will for us to come out.

8 There are some of the church who needed more forgiveness than us. There are also those who may seem lifted higher than us. We need not to look at them but look at Jesus who is higher than all. We are all sinners and Christ lifts us up out of our sin.

Better to be a servant of the King than to be a king in hell.

biblebuf:
We were all given the gift of salvation, we only have to accept it. Other gifts are given as we need them to do His will.

We were captive of the law and He freed from it. We are now slaves to Christ.

Fat:
We don't go out and seek gifts we just accept gifts when they are given to us.

Remember Act 8:18, 19 ?
