Ephesians 4:25-28
King James Version

25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

27 Neither give place to the devil.

28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Ephesians 4:25-28
New American Standard Bible

25 Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. 26 Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and do not give the devil an opportunity. 28 He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

25 We should avoid lies and not by into them and we do not spread lies. We should share the truth and no greater truth than the truth contained in the words of the bible. We should be obeying about our faith to those who are around us and have contact with us on normal bases. We who are of Jesus share the faith and one Lord but there is many who do not follow our Lord.

26 We as Christians will get angry, Christ got angry we will. There is a proper way to handle our anger, we need to do things there proper way. To let anger sit often leads us to sin, this reason scripture says for us to take care of it. Sometimes we may have to wait to be able to talk to someone and let the sun set but this is referring to we should not keep our anger when we can get rid of it.

27 We should not be in things we have temptation with we should not allow Satan to take something e have trouble with and use it against us. We need to avoid certain things so Satan can not beat us with things we struggle with. We need to deal with things while they are in the heart so that they do not come out physical because this is what Satan wants.

28 When we come to Christ there will be a change those who stole will be concerned not about what they have but what others need. Christ will change our out look on things as well as change our desires to do certain things, we will grow to have a desire for the things of God and not want the things of the world as much.

What really strikes me about this passage is that Paul even had to address this. Remember this is a group of Christians who should have been familiar with Christ teaching. It seems so fundamental that the subjects even had to be addressed by Paul to this church is amazing. However if you go to Revelations chapter 2 you find the Christ also addressed the church, stating that they had left their first love and had become fallen Christians.

5 Remember then how far you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. Otherwise, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place-unless you repent.

Don't you know that a little yeast permeates the whole batch of dough? Clean out the old yeast so that you may be a new batch, since you are unleavened.

25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Zechariah 8:16 These are the things you must do: Speak truth to one another; render honest and peaceful judgments in your gates.

26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Psalm 4:4 Be angry and do not sin; on your bed, reflect in your heart and be still. Selah
Deut. 24:15 You are to pay him his wages each day before the sun sets, because he is poor and depends on them. Otherwise he will cry out to the Lord against you, and you will be held guilty

27 Neither give place to the devil.

2 Corinthians 2:11 so that we may not be taken advantage of by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his intentions.

28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Acts 20:35 In every way I've shown you that by laboring like this, it is necessary to help the weak and to keep in mind the words of the Lord Jesus, for He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' "

2 Thessalonians 3:8 we did not eat anyone's bread free of charge; instead, we labored and toiled, working night and day, so that we would not be a burden to any of you.
