For all your bounties known to me, Heavenly Father, and for all the gifts unknown, accept my hearty thanks. May I not complain in your providence or dread the unknown future. Whatever befalls me, help me to believe in your unfailing care and to know that in the valley of the shadow you are by my side.
You are light, and in you is no darkness at all. I thank you for eyes to see, a heart to love, and a nature to enjoy your good and perfect gifts. I worship you, O Father of lights, in whom there is no variableness nor shadow of turning. Enlighten my darkness, I pray!
