In 1931, China’s censor General Ho Chien banned Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland because it was just too dangerous for children to believe animals and humans could communicate with one another.
See where I’m going with this?
It’s dangerous. And it suppresses ideas. In fact, there’s good argument to be made that there is nothing more inherently un-American than the censorship of thoughts and ideas.
But apparently not everyone in the U.S. got the memo…
We here at the Daily Hornet were shocked – and frankly, pretty mad – to learn that for the first time in years, the Bible is being banned…or “challenged,” as our Liberal buddies call it…in schools across the U.S.
This isn’t a secondhand report or watercooler gossip. The data comes directly from the American Library Association. The Bible, according to their 2015 report, is in sixth place on the top 10 most “challenged” books.
In other words, children are being denied access to the word of God.
Why? Simply because it expresses a religious viewpoint.
