Justification
Job 25:4 "How then can a man be just with God? Or how can he be clean who is born of woman?
Isa 45:25 "In the LORD all the offspring of Israel Will be justified and will glory."
Rom 9:31 but Israel, pursuing a law of righteousness, did not arrive at [that] law.
32. Why? Because [they did] not [pursue it] by faith, but as though [it were] by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone,
Job 9:2 "In truth I know that this is so; But how can a man be in the right before God?
3. "If one wished to dispute with Him, He could not answer Him once in a thousand [times].
Rom 3:20 because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law [comes] the knowledge of sin.
Gal 2:16 nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified.

The work is done by the Holy Spirit, its up to us to cooperate.
