RESIST THE DEVIL
Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (Jas. 4:7 )
So they will fear the name of the LORD from the west And His glory from the rising of the sun, For He will come like a rushing stream Which the wind of the LORD drives. (Isa. 59:19 ) Then Jesus said to him, "Go, Satan! For it is written, 'YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY.'"
Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and [began] to minister to Him. (Matt. 4:10, 11 )
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. (Eph. 6:10, 11 ) Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; (Eph. 5:11 ) so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes. (2 Cor. 2:11 ) Be of sober [spirit], be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
But resist him, firm in [your] faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.
(1 Pet. 5:8, 9 ) Neither give place to the devil. (Ephesians 4:27) For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world-- our faith. (1 John 5:4 )
Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one who justifies; (Rom. 8:33 )
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (Revelation 12:9-11 )
