How should Christians treat animals?

Proverbs 12:10 ESV
Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.

Ecclesiastes 3:19 ESV
For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for all is vanity.

Exodus 23:5 ESV
If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying down under its burden, you shall refrain from leaving him with it; you shall rescue it with him.

Proverbs 27:23 ESV
Know well the condition of your flocks, and give attention to your herds,

Deuteronomy 25:4 ESV
“You shall not muzzle an ox when it is treading out the grain.

Psalm 145:9 ESV
The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.

Numbers 22:32

The way you treat animals is a window into your heart. Most serial killers have a history of animal torture.

Found some more verses.



Exodus 34:26. "You shall bring the very first of the first fruits of your soil into the house of the LORD your God. "You shall not boil a young goat in its mother's milk."


Leviticus 22:28. "But, [whether] it is an ox or a sheep, you shall not kill [both] it and its young in one day.


Deuteronomy 22:4. "You shall not see your countryman's donkey or his ox fallen down on the way, and pay no attention to them; you shall certainly help him to raise [them] up. 5. "A woman shall not wear man's clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman's clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God.
6. "If you happen to come upon a bird's nest along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, and the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young;


Luke 14:5. And He said to them, "Which one of you will have a son or an ox fall into a well, and will not immediately pull him out on a Sabbath day?"



1 Timothy 5:18. For the Scripture says, "YOU SHALL NOT MUZZLE THE OX WHILE HE IS THRESHING," and "The laborer is worthy of his wages."
