So Gideon built an altar to the Lord there and called it Jehovah-shalom: (The Lord send peace.) (Judg. 6:24 )
'Behold, a son will be born to you, who shall be a man of rest ; and I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side ; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quiet to Israel in his days.(1 Chr. 22:9 )
Behold, a greater than Solomon is here. For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, (Eph. 2:14 ) This man shall be the peace when the Assyrian shall come into our land. (Mic. 5:5 )
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings. (Rev. 17:14 )
