James 2:25-26

New King James Version (NKJV)

25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

These are my thoughts please share yours.

25 This story of Rehab is found in Joshua 2. She hides the spies from the people of Jericho so they are not killed. She believed that the Lord of Israel will win Jericho like they had the other cities so she hid them out of her faith not in them but in their God and their God would soon become her God as well.
26 Without works our faith shows no one anything. Without works our God given light can not shine. Without works the gospel will not be spread to the world.

To be a servant of the King is far better than to be a king in hell.

Can you believe without obeying? NO

Rahab's conduct proved her faith to be living, or having power, it showed that she believed with her heart, not merely by an assent of the understanding but as done in obedience to God.

I don't believe you can say that she did this with the idea she was going to get a reward for doing it either. A work is something you do expecting payment for.
