Without spot, and blameless
« on: May 13, 2013, 07:13:45 pm »
Be ye perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. (Matt. 5:48 )
I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. (Gen. 17:1 ) Ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should he mine. (Lev. 20:26 )
Ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. (1 Cor. 6:20 )
Ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power. (Col. 2:10 ) Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity. (Titus 2:14 ) Be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. (2 Pet. 3:14 )
Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. (Psa. 119:1 ) Whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. (Jas. 1:25 ) Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psa. 139:23, 24 )

all sin that is covered by Jesus' blood does not exist because it is paid for thefore, all our sins can be covered thru Christ and we then can be made perfect.

Not sinless perfection. The word implies full development, growth into maturity of godliness, not sinless perfection. Eph 4:12-13.

Perfection comes from our relationship with Christ. As Clark states we are without sin in the Fathers eyes because we are covered by Christ's blood.

These verses are more in the line of Matt. 5:48 -

Mat 19:21  Jesus told him, "If you want to be perfect, go and sell all you have and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

Phi 3:12 I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection! But I keep working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ Jesus saved me for and wants me to be.
