God, My Dog, and Me
« on: January 29, 2014, 05:44:47 am »
Most of us have probably heard or figured out that Dog spelled backward spells God. So, does that mean that Dogs are the “flip side” of God?
Let’s start with some of the things they have in common.

Dogs and God are friendly
Dogs and God make us laugh
Dogs and God are loyal
Dogs and God like to be praised
Dogs and God speak to us
Dogs and God like to listen to us
Dogs and God protect us
Dogs and God are loving
Dogs and God are jealous
Dogs and God are playful
Dogs and God like to “hang out” with you
Dogs and God like other dogs.

So you see that our dogs and God have a lot in common.

Now let’s look at some things that make them different.
God cares whether or not you spend eternity with Him – your dog doesn’t.
God cares whether or not you care for your neighbor – your dog doesn’t.
God cares whether or not you are a good parent – your dog doesn’t.
God cares whether or not you behave yourself – your dog doesn’t.
God cares whether or not you are neat, clean, and organized – your dog doesn’t.
God cares whether or not you trust him – you dog doesn’t.

So, what is it that we can conclude? Well, we can see that although they are some wonderful attributes they have in common, our dogs fall far short of helping us lead a holy and healthy life.
So, who do you spend more time being and talking with?

You do well with analogies
Add that my dog thinks he's God.

that's ok for you dog to think that - as long as you don't agree  :)
