THE FIRST DISPENSATION

   
INNOCENCE


Creation of the heavens and the earth (Gen. 1:1-25, 31: 2:1).
   4000 B.C.

Creation of man and woman (Gen. 1:26-27; 2:7; 2:21-24).

The kingdom of Adam where man was given dominion. (Gen. 1:26-28; 9:2; Ps. 8:6-8).



   THE SECOND DISPENSATION

   CONSCIENCE

Adam fails the test of obedience and spiritual death is passed on to the human race (Gen. 2:8; 3:1-7; Rom. 5:12-18).

Adam’s kingdom of the earth is forfeited and given to Satan (Lk. 4:5-7; Jo. 12:31; 14:30; 1Jo. 5:19).

The promise of redemption and defeat of Satan (Gen. 3:14-15; Jo. 12:31).

The creation is cursed and man is driven from paradise (Gen. 3:17-24).

Angels cohabit with women creating a race of giants who cause the total corruption of mankind (Gen. 6:1-5; 2 Pet. 2:4; Jude 6-7).

Mankind’s destruction is determined (Gen. 6:5-13, 17).
   2468 B.C.

Noah finds grace with God (Gen 6:8 18; 7:1).

Mankind and all living things are destroyed by a universal flood (Gen. 7:1-23).
   2348 B.C.

 

   THE THIRD DISPENSATION

   CIVIL GOVERNMENT

The institution of civil government and capital punishment (Gen. 9:5-7;Ex. 21:12; Lev. 24:17;  Num. 35:33; Rom. 13:1-4; 1Pet. 2:13-15).
   2347 B.C.

Man defies God at Babel and is scattered over the earth (Gen. 8:17; 9:1;11:4-9).
   2233 B.C.

The division of the land into continents after the people are dispersed (Gen. 10:25; Acts 17:26).
   2247-2248 B.C.


THE FOURTH DISPENSATION

   PROMISE

The birth of Abraham
   1996 B.C.


The call of Abraham
   1921 B.C.

The unconditional promises and covenants with Abraham (Gen. 12:1-3; 13:14; 15:1-18; 17:1-8, 19; 22:1-18).

The birth of Moses
   1571 B.C.

The call of Moses (Ex. 3:1-18).
   
Moses delivers the Hebrews from bondage in Egypt
   1491 B.C.


   THE FIFTH DISPENSATION

   THE MOSAIC LAW

The beginning of the first kingdom of Israel, the Mosaic Covenant of the 10 Commandments (Ex. 19:1-6; Ex. 20:1-24; 34:28; Duet. 4:13; 9:9, 11).
   1491 B.C.

 
The rebellion and 40 years of wandering in the wilderness (14:1-38).

The second giving of the commandments and the beginning of the Palestinian Covenant (Duet. 5:1-22; 29:1-140.
   1451 B.C.

The conquering of the promised land of Canaan (Jos. 4:21).
   1451-1427 B. C.

The judges rule Israel (Jud. 3:7-16:31).
   1427 B.C.-1095 B.C.

Saul, the first king of Israel (1Sam. 10:9).
   1095 B.C.-1020 B.C.

The birth of David (Ru. 4:2).
   1086 B.C.

David reign as king of Israel 2 Sam. 2:4-1 Ki. 2:10
   1020 B.C.-980 B.C.

The Davidic Covenant (2 Sam. 7:1-17; Ps. 89:3-4, 19-37).

The division of the nation Israel (Ki. 12:1-24; 2 Chron. 10:1-19).
   721 B.C.

The fall of the northern kingdom of Israel (2 Ki. 17:1-23).
   721 B.C.

The fall of the southern kingdom of Judah (2 Ki. 25:1-10; 2 Chron. 36:11-21).
   587 B.C.

The return of Judah from 70 years of captivity in Babylon Ezra. (1:1-5).
   517 B.C.

The Son of David comes and offers the restoration of the Davidic Kingdom (Matt. 3::1-12; 4:17, 23; 9:35; 10:1-7; 22:1-3; Mk. 1:15, 38).
   A.D. 30

The King is rejected (Matt. 11:1-11; 12:22-24; 26:63-66; Mk. 14:53-64;15:1-14; Lk. 19:14; 22:63-71; 23:1-21; Jo. 19:5-15).

Israel crucifies their King (Matt. 27:33-50; Mk. 15:22-37; Lk. 23:32-46; Jo. 19:17-18).

The beginning of the New Covenant (Jer. 31:31-33; Zech. 9:11; Matt. 26:28: Gal. 4:4-5; Heb. 9:12-22, 12:24; 13:20).

The second offer of the kingdom to Israel after the cross is again rejected (Matt. 22:4-7; Lk. 21:12-24; Acts 3:18-25; 4:16-18; 5:40; 7:51-60).


   THE SIXTH DISPENSATION

   GRACE 

The conversion of Saul of Tarsus to Paul the Apostle (Acts9:1-22; 22:6-16; 26:12-18).
   A.D. 37

The beginning of the present assembly of Christ and the Dispensation of Grace (Acts 9:15-16; 13:2, 46-47, 22:14-15; 26:16-18; Rom. 16:25; Eph. 3:1-9; Col. 1:24-26).
   A.D. 45

The coming of the Lord for His bride (1 Cor. 15:51-52; 1 Thess. 4:13-17, 9-10.
       A.D. 1993 

The beginning of the third and final offer of the Davidic Kingdom and Daniel’s 70th week of 7 years of the tribulation (Matt. 22:8-10; 24:14; Acts 15:14-17; Rom. 11:25-29; Rev. 14:6).
    A.D. 1993

The destruction of Antichrist and the binding of Satan for 1000 years (Dan. 7:1-12; Rev. 7:11-12; Rev. 11:15; 20:1-2).
   A.D. 2000


   THE SEVENTH DISPENSATION

   THE MESSIANIC KINGDOM

The establishment of the Millennial Kingdom (Isa. 60:1-16; Ezek. 43:1-7; Dan. 7:13-14; Joel 3:9-17; Zech. 12:1-10; 14:1-11; Matt. 13:41-43; 24:3-31; 25:31-46; Acts 15:14-17; Rom. 11:25-26; Rev. 11:15; 20:1-6).

The last rebellion and final destruction of all opposition to God (Isa. 24:1-6; 26:20-21; Rev. 20:7-15).
   A.D. 3000

The new heavens and new earth, and the eternal reunion of man with God (Rev. 21:1-7; 22:1-5).
