Jude 1:1-2
King James Version (KJV)
1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
These are my thoughts please share yours.
1 Jude is the brother of James not the disciple. Jude and James grew up with Jesus. They both came to faith after Christ's return from death. We are sanctified or set apart by the by recieving Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are loved. Christ keeps us to the faith and we are in His hands and should do His will.
2 Mercy, peace, and love are fruit of the Spirit which God gave us and we should show others.
Better to be a servant of the King than to be a king in hell.
JB Horn:
I think that you drew more out of the first verse then is actually there, but I won't complain. :)
It seems like a straightforward introduction.
