Dangerous Prejudices
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. Acts 4:13
When people refuse to hear the gospel from the lips of a gracious but uneducated preacher, they remind us of the Spaniard in South America who suffered severely from the gout but refused to be cured by an Indian. “I know,” said he, “that he is a famous man and would certainly cure me, but he is an Indian and would expect to be treated with attentions which I cannot pay to a man of color, and therefore I prefer to remain as I am.”
