Jude 1:12-13

12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
 
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

Apostates Depraved and Doomed

12 These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots; 13 raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.

These are my thoughts please share yours.

12 False teachers will only look at what they do affected themselves. They often look to line their own pockets instead of doing what is best for others. They are not rooted in Jesus but, rooted in something else. True teachers will be rooted in the truth that Jesus gave through them following Him and thru the word.

13 They are without the truth because if they had it, they would preach the truth. When you preach the truth there is nothing else worth preaching.

Better to be a servant of the King than to be a king in hell.

12 These are the men who are hidden reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you without fear, caring for themselves ; clouds without water, carried along by winds ; autumn trees without fruit, doubly dead, uprooted ; 13 wild waves of the sea, casting up their own shame like foam ; wandering stars, for whom the black darkness has been reserved forever.


They take communion with you and your church, but they are a stumbling block to others. They are the good times feel good christians who are drawn to church by the pomp and excitement of God's people worshiping. Truth is they only care for themselves and will disrupt the church for their own pleasure.

They are akin to Judas Iscariot.

Drawing upon such examples as the angels that sinned, the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah, Cain, Balaam, and Korah, Jude forcefully proved that God’s judgment will be executed upon ungodly persons just as certainly as it was upon the unfaithful angels and wicked men of former times. He also exposed the baseness of those who were trying to defile Christians.  Another time-tested machination of Satan is that of corrupting individuals morally. On occasion, some who have crept into the Christian congregation have tried to corrupt those who are spiritually weak and who are not walking confidently in divine light.  The warning is clear.  Hypocrites have appeared even within the true Christian congregation. The disciple Jude warned about them, here in 12. They are Apostates feigning love and are as dangerous to our faith as rocks hidden below water are to ships or swimmers. False teachers may seem to be generous, but they are like waterless clouds in that they are spiritually empty. Such ones are as fruitless as dead trees in late autumn. They face destruction, as do uprooted trees. Wise we are to shun apostates.  Paul warned Hebrew Christians: “Beware, brothers, for fear there should ever develop in any one of you a wicked heart lacking faith by drawing away from the living God.” (Hebrews 3:12) In the Greek text, “drawing away” literally means “to stand off,” that is, to apostatize. But we can avoid such utter shipwreck. Faith and hope will enable us to stick to Jehovah even during the worst storms of testing. (Deuteronomy 4:4; 30:19, 20) Our faith will not be like a ship tossed about by winds of apostate teaching. (Ephesians 4:13, 14) And with hope as our anchor, we will be able to weather the storms of life
