Jude 1:16-19

King James Version (KJV)

16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

Jude 1:16-19

New King James Version (NKJV)

Apostates Predicted

16 These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. 17 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: 18 how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. 19 These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

16 During this time there are people how seek pleasure rather than God. They continually seek evil. Without the Lord coming upon us and His Spirit changing us, we are much like these men and women of the world. Without the Lord we seek to find happiness in anything not knowing Christ is the only one who can bring true joy. Evil will rule the world in the last days.

17 We as believers are to take comfort in the truth which we know is the word. There are many false truths that may bring comfort but, sometimes the truth is not always easy to hear but, in time truth will bring comfort. The truth is written in His word and this is what we as believers should teach just as the apostles did before us and Christ before them.

18 The world is going to keep seeking evil. The only hope is in finding Christ as the Lord He is and accepting Him for who He is. The world will start more and more to hate what we as believers know as the truth and they will start to hate us who accept Him and His word as true. This has happened in other countries and has began to start here we are suppose to be free to worship.

19 The world is corrupt and divided. We as the church are to be unified in Christ and our faith in Him and be made holy thru Him, if we are not doing this we are doing what He wants to do.

Better to be a servant of the King than to be a king in hell.

The Rise of False Prophets

New American Standard

2 Pe 2:1-19 1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. 2 Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned ; 3 and in their greed they will exploit you with false words ; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. 4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment ; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly ; 6 and if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example to those who would live ungodly lives thereafter ; 7 and if He rescued righteous Lot, oppressed by the sensual conduct of unprincipled men 8 (for by what he saw and heard that righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds ), 9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who indulge the flesh in its corrupt desires and despise authority. Daring, self-willed, they do not tremble when they revile angelic majesties, 11 whereas angels who are greater in might and power do not bring a reviling judgment against them before the Lord. 12 But these, like unreasoning animals, born as creatures of instinct to be captured and killed, reviling where they have no knowledge, will in the destruction of those creatures also be destroyed, 13 suffering wrong as the wages of doing wrong. They count it a pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are stains and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, as they carouse with you, 14 having eyes full of adultery that never cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having a heart trained in greed, accursed children ; 15 forsaking the right way, they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness ; 16 but he received a rebuke for his own transgression, for a mute donkey, speaking with a voice of a man, restrained the madness of the prophet. 17 These are springs without water and mists driven by a storm, for whom the black darkness has been reserved. 18 For speaking out arrogant words of vanity they entice by fleshly desires, by sensuality, those who barely escape from the ones who live in error, 19 promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption ; for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved.

2 Pe 3:3  Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts,

1 Ti 4:1 But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,

2 Ti 3:1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.

2 Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine ; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,
