Eph 2:1-3

(1/1)

clark thompson:
2 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Ephesians 2:1-3

New King James Version (NKJV)

By Grace Through Faith

2 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

1 When are made new thru Him, it as if we were dead in sins and made alive in Him thru a life worth living. We were on our way to the second death but He gave us a new life that continues after this life with Him.

2 We used to live as we wanted which is what the evil one wanted. Those of the world still live according to this path which are off of, the path that leads to destruction. We no longer seek after ourselves but seek after Him and His will for us. This does not mean we will not fall to our flesh at times but does mean we will repent and go back to Him.

3 We lived as the world once did so, we should be able to understand what they think and how they are trapped to sin without having Him. Are sins are forgiven by Him and we live because of Him but the world is yet to accept Him and follow Him.

Better to be a servant of the King than to be a king in hell.

biblebuf:
All men are born subject to the wrath of God. We are guilty of everlasting death by the judgment of God.

But that was the old us, past tense, we are now a new creature.

JB Horn:
because we've been given a chance to live our life in Christ and him living in us, we have become new creatures.

clark thompson:
I agree.
