Title: “Does Peter have the Key’s to Heaven?” by former Roman Catholic priest
Post by: biblebuf on October 05, 2012, 06:34:49 pm
One of the boastful assumptions proclaimed by the Roman Catholic Church is that the Apostle Peter was the first pope.  Is there any scriptural evidence to this claim? Watch as former Roman Catholic priest, Richard Bennett, discusses this topic. He talks of Pete and the Keys to the Kingdom and power to forgive sin. Peter never Bishop of Rome?

Starts off slow but is worth watching to the end.

He speaks of the sharp contrast in Peter and today's pope. Citing: acts 10:25 And as Peter was coming in , Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him. 26 But Peter took him up , saying , Stand up ; I myself also am a man.

Whatever Peter handed down he sure didn't hand his humility.
