Note that JM fails to distinguish between vine and root. Paul does make this distinction in Romans.

I hear what you are worried about. It almost sounds like he is pushing replacement theology , but I think it's just a poor way to phrase his sermon points.
Romans 11 shoots down all that replacement theology ⛪️
