Title: The Spirit of Grace
Post by: Robert Sanders on July 31, 2016, 03:42:50 pm
THE SPIRIT of GRACE

Hebrews 10:29
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye,
shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God,
and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified,
an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

~ THE SPLENDOR of GOD ~

I am forever
ensnared by the
splendor
of
God.

To rejoice
in his presence
in the beauty
of his
Holiness.

By the
power and strength
of his
Mercy.

I shall always
please him
by the
Spirit
of
Grace.

I like this verse. Rejecting Christ's work by saying is insufficient for your salvation, and requiring that works must be added to secure your salvation, is lessening the work of Christ on the cross and making it insufficient for the job it was intended. Christ's blood paid in full, not in part, for our salvation.

Hello Law,

I never entered this post because of the second part of it, I didn't know exactly what he was trying to get to. If you just analyze the verse itself there's a lot packed in there even John MacArthur, who can be very stingy with his words, spend more than the page reviewing this verse in his study Bible. If I was a Christian preacher I was straying from the word of God, this verse would make me shake for fear of what is to come.
