God's gifts and our walk
« on: May 01, 2014, 11:42:17 pm »
“I used to think that God's gifts were on shelves one above the other and that the taller we grew in Christian character, the more easily we should reach them. I find now that God's gifts are on shelves one beneath the other and that is not a question of growing taller, but of stooping lower and that we have to go down, always down to get His best ones.”

Do not try to reach for the gifts, just accept  the gifts that are handed to you.

Well said! Just like salvation, a gift is a gift this is not something that you work for. But again just like salvation, some people accept  the gifts and some turn away from them.

I come to realize that the most gifts I want are the ones Go has not given me but I am to use the ones He has given me in the way He leads.
