Luke 4:9-11 King James Version (KJV)
9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Luke 4:9-11
CLV 9 Now he led Him into Jerusalem and stands Him on the wing of the sanctuary, and he said to Him, "If you are God's son, cast yourself down hence, 10 for it is written that 'His messengers shall be directed concerning Thee, To protect Thee.'" 11 and that 'On their hands shall they be lifting Thee, Lest at some time Thou shouldst be dashing Thy foot against a stone.'"

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

9 The devil took Jesus, Jesus did not have to go but went because it was God’s will for Him not fall to sin but to be tested by sin, He would die for sins even though He never had sin, He would know sin, ours. To throw Himself down,

10 Him testing God’s word is the temptation, we should not test God’s word but often times we will be lead into places where God’s word is tested and we have our faith made stronger but we are to be lead into these places not choose to be there.

11  Jesus would have this happen as He was teaching and giving the word and escaped the crowd without harm it was by God’s will that He did this but He was not testing God in doing this He simply was doing what God lead Him to do and it was God’s word that kept Him.

From the beginning Satan's Modus Operandi has been to missuse God's words to back Satan's lie.

But the second Adam didn't take the bait.

How true, Satan's weapon has always been a lie and he is always been defeated by the truth. God's word is the truth, and the truth is the sword of the Holy Spirit.
