Where the Law of Moses ended ?
« on: January 14, 2012, 10:52:31 am »
Hi to all and most believers still believe that we have to keep the 10 commandments , even when Jesus fulfilled the Law .

For over 1500 years the Priests of Israel sacrificed animals that covered the sins of Israel .

In John 10:30 , as He was dying , Jesus said  "  it is finished "  which is in the Greek Perfect Tense , which speaks of Past Action with Continuing Results ,

The Past action , 2000 years ago is His death on the Cross !!

The Continuing Results are always in the  PRESENT  tense .

Since it is in the Past tense , this means that Jesus will  NEVER  die again for sins , for He died for  Sins ,  Past  , Present and for Future  Sins !!

In Heb 9:15 we see why the Law of Moses had to end !!

" That by means of death , for the Redemption of the  SINS THAT WERE UNDER THE  first  covenant , and this is just one reason that was accomplished at the Cross , and the Law of Moses with its 613 Laws are finished .

Col 2:1417  also say that the Law of Mose was set aside ,

This  also  means that Water Baptism is also  OUT  , dan p

It is the ceremonial law
(A temporary Jewish law) was abolished. The Moral Law
(The Ten Commandments) was never abolished.

It is only by the law that the Holy Ghost can convect us of our sins, and without that convection there is no repentance. And without repentance you have no salvation.

Paul said: "Do we then nullify the Law through faith ? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law."
What shall we say then ? Is the Law sin ? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law ; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, "YOU SHALL NOT COVET."
