What would you like to see in a church?

(1/2) > >>

Fat:
What do you believe the purpose of your church should be?

Should you be entertained at your church, fed refreshments or listen to entertaining music. Do you go to church to study the Scriptures and listen to sermons that are relevant to Christian life?

Many churches today feel that they must attract a congregation by making church a pleasant social gathering, void of any controversy or condemnation of lifestyles that may conflict with biblical teachings.

So what do you look for in a church?

Hal:
I like to feel like Holy Ghost in the sanctuary. I like to see biblical references made to back up the information from the pulpit.

Zant Law:
There is a place for some religion at the church, for instance baptism and the Lord supper.  The church should show love for both those inside the church and outside. The church should take care of its own and not leave that to the government. It should be the first place you turn for help.

biblebuf:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

Must have an outreach.

You’re right to point this out, we should support and train missionaries.
