What does the Scriptures say about same sex marriage?
« on: May 15, 2013, 11:39:11 pm »
Leviticus 20:13 'If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act ; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them.

With Leviticus 20:13 in mind and what the union of marriage entails a commitment for life, consider Hebrews 10:26.

Hebrews 10:26 For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES.

It is the act that is the sin, and marriage tries to make the act become justified. In the same frame marriage would not justified beastiality.

Marriage is a sacrament of the church and the church does not sanctify abomination to God.
