The meek

The fruit of the spirit is meekness. (Gal. 5:22 )
The meek … shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. (Isa. 29:19 ) Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (Matt. 8:3, 4 ) For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.(Psalms 149:4) The ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, … is in the sight of God of great price. (1 Cor. 3:4 ) Charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up. (1 Cor. 13:4 )  Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? (James 2:5
Follow after meekness. (1 Tim. 6:11 ) Take my yoke upon you and learn O me, for I am meek and lowly in heart. (Matt. 11:29 ) He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb so he openeth not his mouth. (Isa. 53:7 ) Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: who did no sin neither was guile found in his mouth: who, when he was reviled reviled not again, … but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously. (1 Pet. 2:21-23 )
The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. (Psalms 25:9 )
But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. (Psalms 37:11) Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. (James 1:21)
