I agree with MacArthur, there is nothing in Colossians 3:13 that tells us to forgive ourselves. Now accepting the forgiveness from God is another subject and is necessary for us to complete our salvation.

Colossians 3:13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone ; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.

True you can't forgive yourself but you can feel comfortable that you have been forgiven, I agree.
