Do Christians and Muslims worship the same God?
« on: September 16, 2014, 06:30:11 pm »
There have been many Christians saying that all religions worship the same God. You particularly here this when they are referring to Muslims. This is a very disturbing view coming from some Christians who apparently have no idea what these other religions are about.

Do any of these religions believe that God the Creator of the universe came to this earth as a man in the form of the person Jesus Christ? How many of these relations believe that Christ had the authority and the power to forgive sins?

Do any of these religions believe that God the Creator, and Jesus Christ are as one being, and have been in existence from eternity?

These are important questions because the God of the Christian community is a member of the Trinity, and any other God that is not part of that Trinity is not the God that Christians worship. When Christ was on this earth he forgave people of their sins in front of his people the Jews, and they reacted to that saying that no one had the authority to forgive sins except God.( Matthew 9:2-3, 6 ; Luke 7:48 ) And they were absolutely correct, so either Christ was God or He was an impersonator.

👏
I have to agree you hear this argument all the time, in fact I've even heard the same argument from the pope. The people That deny the Trinity put themselves right in the middle of this mess. 🇺🇸💒

People say that religion does not get you into heaven and they are right but those in religions who reject who Christ is do not know Him.

As Christians we have a daily relationship with our God, which is through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and by personal prayer on any subject at all and he replies by His actions or by other means so that it is a two way relationship, I can pray for anything from my lost car keys and to help finding them to the deep meaning of scripture to physical events in my daily life and any health issues. I can worship him in praise and that worship benefits me also. The relationship grows stronger with time and experience of being with him.

Muslims have a set of prayers that they repeat rote, they expect no reply. Allah is not a relational God. Praying to a piece of wood or a wall has the exact same response as praying to Allah

A Muslim praying a genuine prayer to know who is the real God is different, He is then reaching out to the God of the Hebrews (Yahweh Almighty God) and the God of the Christians (the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit). A place the Jews have yet to come to and accept Jesus and then the indwelling of the Holy Spirit

O people of the Book! Commit no excess in your religion; Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of Allah, and his word, which he bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from him: so believe in Allah and his apostles. Say not "Trinity"; desist; it will be better for you; for Allah is one Allah. Glory be to him: (for exalted is he) above having a son. To him belong all things in the heavens and on the earth. And enough is Allah as a disposer of affairs (Sura 4:171).

The Christian God is not the same god as found in Islam.

Islam is  another false world religion that denies Jesus is God. Mohammed is just another false prophet ....no peace upon him.

Allah is a figment of Satan's imagination.
There is no such spirit being.

Satan (or one of his top demons) appeared to Mohammed,
saying he was Allah, and gave him a lot of false information.
E.G. he altered some of the stories in the Torah,
which caused the Torah (and the Bible) to be trusted less.

Satan likes to imitated God and use half truths to push his lies.
