Three Beasts
The First Beast:
Rev 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
In nature, you will notice that GOD does not create multiheaded creatures. GOD does everything in a natural way. If you do see a multiheaded creature, it is usually a mutation of some kind. This beast in Rev 13:1 is a governmenal system. Also, this beast rises up out of the sea. The sea is a sea of people.
Rev 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
So this beast rises up out of the people. It is the governmental system of the end time. The One World System.
Rev 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
Notice that it says: 'they that dwell on the earth shall wonder'?
Well, that word 'wonder' means admire. That means they will worship this beast.
Rev_13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
Remember it said in Rev 17:8 that 'they that dwell on the earth shall wonder after the beast? Well, in Rev 13:4 it says 'who is able to make war with him?'.
The beast rises up out of the people and they that dwell on the earth wonder (or admire) the beast. It's the One World System beast. If it's the One World System, then there is no one to go against it. That is why they are unable to make war with him.
Now notice that this beast has seven heads and ten horns. Horns means power. The interesting thing is that the crowns are on the horns, not on the heads.
Rev 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
Rev 17:13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
Notice the power of the horns are given unto the beast? These ten horns are ten kings without kingdoms, but they receive power 'as kings' for one hour with the beast.
The hour that is talked about here is the hour of temptation. The time of anti CHRIST and his One World System.
Also notice that the crowns are not on the heads. If the crowns were on the heads it would mean that these are actual kings with kingdoms. These are not actual kingdoms though because the crowns are on the horns (meaning it's a political power situation). A kingdom means a king and his dominion. These kings are given power as kings, but since the crowns are on the horns, they didn't have their own 'home grown' kingdoms, but given power as kings.
The Second Beast:
Rev 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
Rev 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
Rev 13:13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count G5585 the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
Notice that this beast comes out of the earth. This is the church, but this beast is actually coming out of the pit. It's the religious beast. It looks like the Lamb, but it speaks as a dragon. The dragon is the devil. The devil is going to disguise himself as the Lamb. Most will think he is JESUS, but in reality he is anti CHRIST ('anti' in the Greek isn't the same as 'anti' as we are used to it. It doesn't mean against, it means 'instead of'). So, this beast is the devil and satan. This beast gives that first beast it's power. The reason it's 'instead of' CHRIST is that most people are looking for JESUS to return, but instead they get satan who is pretending to be JESUS and he deceives them into thinking he is JESUS by his miracles. Boy are they going to wish for the rocks to fall on them when the True CHRIST returns and they realize they have been worshiping satan. You know of course that JESUS is going to tell them: Mat_7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Now, what is this wisdom that is talked about in Rev 13:18?
Well, it says to 'count' the number of the beast. That word 'count' is the Greek word:

From G5586 ; to use pebbles in enumeration, that is, (genitive case) to compute: - count.
and it's root word is:

psay'-fos
From the same as G5584 ; a pebble (as worn smooth by handling), that is, (by implication of use as a counter or ballot) a verdict (of acquittal) or ticket (of admission); a vote: - stone, voice.
It's meaning comes from it's use. Back in those days, people would use stones to keep track of or count things. After using those stones for a very long time, the stones would begin to be smooth or worn down. The usage of the word here means knowledge gained by wisdom or study. So, if you have studied GOD'S WORD for a long time, you may obtain this wisdom.
And what is this wisdom?
It's that the man of sin, the son of perdition, the devil that sits in the temple claiming to be GOD is anti CHRIST,
2Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
and what does his number is six hundred three score and six mean?
It means that anti CHRIST comes at the 6th trump, the 6th seal, and the 6th vial.
JESUS returns at the 7th Trump, so the first supernatural being that arives here claiming to be JESUS and deceiving people with his miracles is actually satan.
The Third Beast:
Now, you might think that this beast should be called the first beast since it happened first. But those first two beasts above are at this end time and in this age. The beast that I'm going to outline here is from the last age and is very similar to the first beast above.
Rev 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
Rev 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
Now notice that this beast appeared in heaven. The beast in Rev 13:1 came up out of the sea (people). It's obvious that this beast is the devil or dragon, or at least he is the leader of it.
It is very important to notice that this beast has seven heads and ten horns also, but that the crowns are on the heads, not on the horns as they were in Rev 13:1.
The kings of this beast had actual kingoms, which means they were kings with dominions. Now what happened with this beast is that it drew a third part of the stars of heaven with it's tail.
If you read the book of Job, you will learn that GOD calls HIS children stars, and the fact that the devil drew these stars with his tail means that he did it behind the scenes with deception.
The devil got one third of GOD'S children to go against GOD and try to take GOD'S THRONE!
The reason that GOD'S children are here in flesh on this earth is to give them a chance to come back to HIM. HE had the choice to destroy those children that rebelled against HIM, but HE chose to destroy the age instead and give those children a chance to be saved by being born of woman, innocently with a veil so that they would not remember what happened in the last age and thereby allow those children to choose who they would love, HIM or satan.
Notice also that the devil tried to spoil GOD'S Plan. The dragon tried to devour the man child as soon as it was born. That basically means he tried to stop the seed of CHRIST and make war with the saints, which are the True followers of CHRIST. But in the end, the devil will pay his price, along with all that choose to follow him:
Eze 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
Eze 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Eze 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
Eze 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Eze 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
Eze 28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
As stated in Ezekiel 28:8, GOD will turn satan to ashes from the inside out. With every step you take, choose what would please GOD, not what would please satan.
And remember, we have a redeemer, so repent and ask forgiveness. HE knows our shortcomings and paid the price for us.
Isa_49:26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
Isa_59:20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.

I don't know, everything I see in Rev 17 points to the Church of Rome to be the lady on the beast.

Notice that this verse says that the beast rises out of the sea. It is a sea of people. See Revelation 17:15 below.

Notice that this verse says that 'all the world wondered after the beast'.
Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
Notice that this verse says 'who is able to make war with him', meaning the beast. Well, in a one world system there is no one to go against the beast.
Rev 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
Notice that this verse says that the waters where the whore sits (and the whore sits upon the beast) are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues. Remember, the beast rose up out of the sea (it's a sea of people).
Rev 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Notice that the woman that sits on the beast reigns over the kings of the earth. This amounts to a one world system.
Rev 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
That great city is end time Babylon. Babylon means confusion. This is the devils one world system and the whore are those that are whoring after anti CHRIST, which are GOD'S children that did not know TRUTH (those that received the delusion because they cared not for the love of the TRUTH that they might be saved).
GOD is not the author of confusion.

I was addressing the 'The Woman on the Beast' who does not appear until chapter 17.
True that God is not the author of confusion but He is the author of wisdom and He reminds us of that in verse 9
"This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits.
The city of seven hills was understood by the Jews, who John was writing to, to be Rome.
Check out her clothing, the history of the church and its prosecution of the elect, the fact that the Vatican is considered a country by the world including the U.N. The Vatican sends men to embassies wearing the clothing of the woman and having diplomatic immunity. The Pope is given parades and is welcome to countries as a world leader. And they consider him to be the ruler of all God's people.
Has not this Pope called for his people to work together with Muslims because (he says) we all worship the same god? Prostitute?
vs. 18 The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth."
When John wrote this he was a prisoner of Rome and Rome ruled most of the known world.
I am interested on who you think this woman is, not who the beast is.

(The fiery furnace is tribulation. It's just like Egypt was an Iron Furnace. 'The heat is on', 'Can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.', 'Called on the carpet'.
It's the being cast into prison for up to ten days.
Notice that the people are commanded to fall down and worship the Beast. This is the Harlot that rides upon the scarlet colored Beast.
The fiery furnace is for those that refuse to fall down and worship the Beast. If they refuse to fall down and worship the Beast then they are delivered up to death, that is to say the devil. If they are delivered up to death because they refuse to worship the devil then that means they are the elect. Those that had their names written in The Book Of Life from the foundation of the world.
