Luke 4:40-41 King James Version (KJV)
40 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.

Luke 4:40-41
ACV 40 And when the sun was setting, all, as many as had those who were incapacitated with various diseases, brought them to him. And having laid his hands on each one of them, he healed them. 41 And also demons came out from many, crying out, and saying, Thou are the Christ, the Son of God. And rebuking them, he did not allow them to speak, because they knew him to be the Christ.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

40 They saw that He had the power to heal so they took those they knew were sick to Him to be healed but often times we know He can heal and we go to Him last for healing.

41 The demons knew who He is but He did not want the people to know before it was time to know because His time was to come at a certain time to lead Him to the cross. Demons know He is Son of God but they do not make Him their Lord to be saved we need to know who He is but also make Him our Lord because of who He is.

When Jesus asked Peter who He was and Peter answered correctly, Jesus told him not to revel it to the population.
When Christ was asked why He spoke in parables His answer was because it was not for them (Jews ) to know.
Christ even made it clear to keep the   trans configuration a secret.

Why?

Look at it this way, if Christ was accepted by the Jews and not been persecuted on the cross the Gentiles would've  possibly never had the opportunity for salvation.

Could there be salvation for the Jews without the cross?

“I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they? May it never be! But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make them jealous.”
