The Gospel, Old Testament and New
« on: February 26, 2012, 05:23:06 pm »
I ran across this list of Scriptures pertaining to the Gospel. I remembered that we had a thread about there being a Gospel preached to the Jews by Christ and a different Gospel preached to the gentiles by Paul. If you look at these verses (run your curser over them to read) you'll have to agree that there was but one gospel that was foretold from the beginning.

Gal 3:8 The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, "ALL THE NATIONS WILL BE BLESSED IN YOU.

Heb 4:2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also ; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard.

There is and has always only been one way to the Father.
