What would you like to see in a church?

What do you believe the purpose of your church should be?

Should you be entertained at your church, fed refreshments or listen to entertaining music. Do you go to church to study the Scriptures and listen to sermons that are relevant to Christian life?

Many churches today feel that they must attract a congregation by making church a pleasant social gathering, void of any controversy or condemnation of lifestyles that may conflict with biblical teachings.

So what do you look for in a church?

I like to feel like Holy Ghost in the sanctuary. I like to see biblical references made to back up the information from the pulpit.

True, and I think there should be songs of praise to our Lord, not for our entertainment. A instrument to accompany the song OK, but a Six piece band is for human consumption.

The church gives us a chance for fellowship and to be able to use each other’s gifts for the benefit of the whole.
